An appalling celebration where 500,000 pure creatures were executed by Hindu admirers has been wiped out – and will never occur again.
A large portion of a million creatures were slaughtered – numerous executed – at the Gadhimai celebration in Nepal in 2009, and 250,000 in 2014.
Bison, goats and chickens were slaughtered by admirers to mollify a Hindu goddess, on the planet's biggest presentation of creature penance.
The executive of the Gadhimai Temple Trust, which sorted out the past celebrations said, 'The time now supplant killing and brutality with quiet love and festivity.'
