Snail W3D - 3D Gaming Smartphone That Looks and Plays Like a PlayStation Vita

If you're tired of having to carry your smartphone, as well as a Nintendo 3DS or PlayStation Vita, Snail Games decided to combine a smartphone and a handheld gaming system into a single device. The most obvious feature of the W3D gaming smartphone is physical buttons and analog sticks. It even has shoulder buttons and a directional pad for the traditional handheld gaming experience.

The 5.5" screen has a Full HD 1920 x 1080 native resolution, which results in 400 pixels per inch. The display supports 1080p Full HD content without letterboxing. The screen also supports 3D without the need for the 3D glasses. It uses eye-tracking synchronization, which helps keep the 3D enabled as you move your eyes.

As for specs, Snail Games says the W3D gaming smartphone houses a 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 13-megapixel camera. Snail Games also expects the W3D to support 4G LTE and CDMA networks, thanks to its dual SIM slots. It also has an enormous 4,000-mAh battery, which is estimated to power up to 6 hours of continuous gaming. Of course, actual battery life may vary depending on usage. There is also a microSD card slot for storage expansion, which will probably be needed to play graphics-intensive games with large installation files.

Snail W3D will be released on September 29, 2015.
