Two tourists were determined to get that perfect shot and climbed atop a priceless statue before taking a photo.
Hanging onto the a marble statue of Hercules at the the Loggia dei Militi palace in Cremona, the men’s weight allegedly led the Roman hero’s crown to drop to the ground and shatter, the Daily Mail reports.
Now the unnamed men, whose country of residence hasn’t been revealed, could face criminal charges.
The palace dates back to 1292 and the early 1700s statue depicting a pair or Hercules figures is a beloved symbol of the city.
